Anglo – Japanese Judo
Championships
Sunday 13th February 2011
A competition with a difference!
The Anglo – Japanese Judo club will be holding a judo competition on Sunday 13th February 2011 at:
Teddington Sports Centre
Broom Lane
Teddington
TW11 9PJ
We will fight the competition in weight groups (see attached entry form). The difference being, that all grades will be seeded in pools of 5, so that where possible low grades will not fight high grades. Each pool of 5 will fight, therefore ensuring at least 4 fights for each competitor. Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, within each pool as well as participation trophies to all runners up.
Thus all students will get experience of competition and all go away winners.
The smaller weight groups will be fought first so that the little ones can leave early or just relax and watch the bigger boys and girls fight.
This is not just a competition for the high grades, we intend to make this a springboard for the lower grades before they enter higher level tournaments. This event will only be a success if as many students as possible enter. I look forward to seeing you there.
